Blackout

Everyone survive the hurricane? Hooray! I was lacking power for a day and a half, but the darkness gave me the idea to spotlight (ha!) some shoes that have something in common with my apartment lately: they’re all black.

  The Acappella is a sweet little boot of black suede, with a three-inch heel and bow. So perfect for fall! Also available in tan suede or—get this—purple suede! LOVE! Find them at Aerosoles for $150.

  The Brodie by H by Halston had a suede and snake upper, a one-inch platform with metallic detailing, a 5.25-inch heel, and a peep toe. Also available in a nice burgundy/red; find them at Baker’s (now on sale!) for $60.

  The Laboheme flat is has a round toe with a really cool rhinestone/chain feature, rubber sole, and is made of black leather. Also available in dark brown pony and dark gray pony; yours for $79 from Nine West.

  How fierce are these?! The Harness Ankle Boot by Christian Siriano has a black (well, pewter) snakeskin leather upper, a squared-off toe, 4.5-inch heel, hidden platform, and awesomeness to spare. Pick up yours at Payless for $70. (Plus it’s BOGO time, so pick out something else nice while you’re there.)

  Oh, I am just a sucker for lace, and the Olive Bootie by Martinez Valero has it in spades! Not to mention the suede trim, lace-up back, three-quarter-inch platform and five inch heel—it’s so awesome, in fact, that DSW is down to 5.5, 7.5, and 8 only. Hurry in and get yours for $60!
