National Ice Cream Month

What, you didn’t know July was National Ice Cream Month?  Don’t panic!  You still have one more day to indulge in your favorite frozen treat, guilt-free.  In the spirit, here are some shoes inspired by our favorite ice cream flavors!

Strawberry:

Beautiful!  The Christie by CeCe L’Amour is a sister shoe to the Jules: a bright spotted pink upper scattered with strawberries and blue flowers, hints of green at the toe, and a pair of sparkly strawberries!  The best kind of strawberry.  It’s got a five-inch heel and 1.5-inch platform, and is also available in black or a light blue.  Find them at 6pm for $94.

Mint chocolate chip:

The Steeplechase by BC Footwear is a green leather flat flecked with black spots, and has black leather trim around the foot and a pair of tassels at the almond-shaped toe.  Also available in brown spotted, solid black, red, or army green, and silver sparkles!  All on Endless for about $27.

Cherry vanilla:
The May Contain Nuts is just too cute—a pink gingham upper printed with red and yellow cherries, woven straw under the foot, and a heel shaped like an ice cream cone!!!!  Gaaa!  Just look at it!  If it wasn’t wonderful enough, it’s on sale!  Yours for $134 at Irregular Choice.

Nothing’s complete without toppings, of course!

Look at these!  This handmade pair has a scoop of ice cream (complete with strawberry sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry) on the toe, and a heel covered in whipped cream and toppings!  I feel like Katy Perry should be wearing a pair of these.  Amazing.  This green pair is a 6.5 and is available from Etsy seller delightedngel for $72, but don’t worry!  She can make you a pair in your size too, in the color of your choice.

Looking for a place to find a delicious dish of frozen goodness?  Try Franklin Fountain for old-fashioned handmade ice cream served by people in old-timey outfits and fantastic moustaches.  If you want something a little more sophisticated, try Capogiro, which was recently named the best gelato in the world.  In.  The.  World.
