Main Line Restaurant Week

Who’s hungry?  Good news: it’s Main Line Restaurant Week!  Through Sunday, twenty-five restaurants on or around the Main Line have special multi-course lunch and/or dinner menus, at prices ranging from $20-$50.  Something for every taste, at every price!

For $20, head to Bala Cynwyd’s Saffron Indian Kitchen for a samosa; chicken tikka masala; garlic naan; and gulab jamun:

How amazing would these khussa from Beachcombers! look under dark jeans?  Look at the bright silk, elaborate beading, and dimpled toe… so very perfect for the warm weather.  (It’s coming, right?  It has to be!)  Yours for $40 from Amazon.

For $30, maybe head to Joe’s Crab Shack in King of Prussia for calamari; the classic steampot with Dungeness crab, snow crab, boiled shrimp, and sausage; and key lime pie:

The Crab Seersucker Sandals by Tidewater are crab fab!  And so summery, with their blue and white seersucker and bright orange crabs.  The sole is one-inch thick rubber with arch support (comfy!), and can be yours for $25 from Shoebuy.  (Whole sizes only!)

High roller?  For $50, you’re headed to the White Dog Café in Wayne for Kennett Square mushroom soup; Lancaster beet salad, goat cheese, crispy polenta ‘croutons’, and herb crème fraiche; shrimp tortellini with roasted asparagus, garlic, and sundried tomato cream; braised Berkshire pork shoulder, sautéed rapini, herb gnocchi, preserved lemon, and pickled onions; and a dessert trio.  That’s five courses!

Good dog!  The Keyson by Dreams by Beston is white (faux) fur, sophisticated.  The upper is faux white leather, perfectly cut, and is topped with a shock of fur and two sleek buckles.  And look at that heel!  4.75 inches—sexy.  (Don’t worry, there’s a two-inch hidden platform in there.)  Find them at Overstock for $48—but hurry, they’re a sell out risk!
