Shoes by SJP

Few celebrities are as associated with shoes as Sarah Jessica Parker.  In her role as Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City she brought designer shoes into homes around the world.  Manolo Blahnik became a household name.

Even though Sex and the City went off the air in 2004, Parker still can’t let shoes go.  (Who can blame her?  All those years in Jimmy Choos…)  In fact, she’s just designed her own line of shoes, exclusively for Nordstrom!  Take a look:

The Etta is so feminine: the soft pink color; the delicate straps at the toe, up the foot, and around the ankle; and the flower, of course!  The heel is 3.5 inches high, and see that little ribbon at the top of the heel?  That’s her signature: a slender white ribbon stitched up the back.  Yours for $425.

The Alison Bootie is a little interesting since there’s no tongue up the front!  It’s open so it shows off your foot.  There are laces up the front, though, laced into silver grommets.  The upper is leather, and it balances on a 3.5 inch heel.  Yours for $485.

Purple!  Pink!  Yellow!  Blue!  The Maud has it all.  (It’s named for Maud Frizon, a French fashion and shoe designer, so it’d better have it all!)  Those are all leather straps, by the way, except for the little ribbon tag by the ankle.  The heel is 3.25 inches—is anyone else a little surprised that every heel in the collection is coming in under four inches?  I’m thinking Parker might be regretting all those years in exceptionally high heels.  But anyway, these can be yours for $375.

Okay, this one’s my favorite in the whole collection.  The Leslie Espadrille has grosgrain straps in two shades of mint, and a beautiful bow to tie at the ankle.  The wedge (3.5 inches at the heel and 1.5 inches at the toe) is half wrapped in braided jute and half wrapped in bronzed leather.  I look at this shoe and it gives me hope that spring will actually come.  Yours for $245.

And there are many more besides these, including some flats and handbags.  You can find the whole collection online, but if you want to see it in a store you’ll need to head over to Cherry Hill.
