Save Up!

Well, it’s officially November.  The holidays are soon to follow.  I know it seems like a while from now, but best to start saving so all the gift-buying doesn’t hit your wallet at once next month, amirite?

Good news: if you put all your change and loose bills in these little banks, you’ll have a good little nest egg for next month.  (Or maybe not.  But you’ll probably have enough for a pair of shoes for yourself, maybe!)

Yep, it’s a bank!  It’s got the slit in the top between all the feathers, and a plug under the peep toe so all your money can come a-tumblin’ out later!  I do sort of wish this was a real shoe, with its snow leopard print and rhinestone buckle… ah well.  A bank will have to do!  Yours for $18 from Bonanza.

More feathers!  More cheetah!  More rhinestones!  How fun is this?  Just look at the stiletto heel on this.  Good thing it has a big platform, otherwise you might not have room for your cash!  This will look very stylish indeed on your shelf or table.  Find them at Smart Bargains on sale for $10!

Oh my gosh, this one looks like a real shoe, doesn’t it?  (Though in real life it’s only 7.5 inches high, so that makes it look a little more fake, I guess.)  But really—I’ve seen rain boots like these in stores, with the little bows.  It’s too perfect!  Pick up one for $29 from Neptune Toys.

Prefer shoes on your feet and not holding your money?  I’ve got non-shoe-shaped options or you too.

I just love the shape of this jar.  It’s like something a genie would come out of, or a magic potion.  And the gold paint!  I love it.  Yours for $35 from Top Notch Gifts.

This jar is simplicity itself: a clear glass mason jar with a screw-on lid, engraved with a pretty little shoe and the words “Shoe Fund” in swirling script.  And you can get it with or without the raffia bow, or even personalized for the shoe-lover in your life.  The basic one will run you $13 from Etsy seller hbhill.

I hope these banks inspire you to save this holiday season!  Or just to spend all your money on shoe banks…
