It is well known that I am an aficionado of Target’s shoes: they’re stylish and reasonably priced. Despite my having a Kmart much closer to my home, however, the extent of my interaction with their shoe department has always been limited to my walking by it and sighing woefully. Terrible.
Then I go in there last week for tissues and a perusal of their Halloween things, do a walk-by of the shoe department, and stop. There are stylish shoes. An abundance of stylish shoes. I look around: yes, I’m still in Kmart. How could I have been so wrong? How long has this been going on?
Exhibit A:

How I love gray! And ruffles! The
Jasper Shootie by Attention has a four-inch heel, fabric upper and ruffle, and a zipper up the back. Yours for
$25.
Exhibit B:

The
Jayden by GLO are covered in gold glitter! They also come in red fabric, but...
gold glitter!! (They have almost a rose-gold undertone in person... warm and beautiful.) They also have a four-inch heel; yours for
$25.
Exhibht C:

The
Tower Over-the-Knee Boot by Sofia by Sofia Vergara has a 4.5-inch heel and buckles and straps galore! These are like superhero boots, and they’re a dirty rotten steal for
$50.
Exhibit D:

Rawr! The
Taja by Jaclyn Smith is a round-toe leopard Mary Jane with a 2.5-inch heel and shiny black button—it’s so 50s bad girl I can barely stand it. Yours for
$15!
Exhibit E:

Three words: cuffed. Red. Suede. How sweet would the
Tova by Route 66 be with jeans and a sweater? Three buckles up the back too! Yours for
$20.
The ones I got for myself? These:

The
Toba Scrunch Boot by Route 66 has a cute little one-inch wedge (easy to walk to work in!) and a buckle across the back. Just pull them on and go! Available in black or brown for
$30.
You win this round, Kmart. Let’s see if you can keep it up!
