Happy Thanksgiving, deputy shoe fairies! Can you believe it’s Thanksgiving
already? December is next week. I don’t know if I’m mentally ready for that.
But what’s not to love about Thanksgiving? Family, friends, togetherness,
gratitude. (And food. Delicious, delicious food.) In the spirit of the day, here are some shoes
you might enjoy on Thursday:
Aww. Look
at all the little turkeys all over these flip flops, and little turkey tracks,
and little “Gobble Gobble”s written all over them… too cute. Plus I really like the orange strap and sole—I
think it’s just right. It’s also
available in black, which is also nice, or light blue or light pink, which are
just… peculiar. Your choice for $17 from
Café
Press.
Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Keds! I always loved A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
While these appear to be painted with the final dinner scene at Charlie
Brown’s grandma’s house, I always preferred their feast in the backyard, with
all their mismatched chairs, and their ping pong table, and their toast and
jellybeans and pretzel sticks. It just
captures the spirit of Thanksgiving for me: that it’s about sharing what you
have with the people you value, and it’s okay if it doesn’t match the magazine
photos with their golden turkeys. (It’s
on tomorrow night at 8:00 PM, by the way.
Don’t miss it.) Don’t miss out on
these shoes either; they’re $45 from Etsy seller Annetastic.
Aaah, these are adorable! Look at these wee felt turkeys, with their
wide eyes and four rows of feathers.
They sit atop black cotton canvas Mary Janes that have rubber soles, so
if you need to run out last minute for cranberry sauce, you’re covered. Yours for $25 from Etsy seller Punkie
Junkie.
I had to include these; I’m sorry. But you have to admit your family will get a
kick out of these slippers on Thanksgiving night! And they do
look cozy…ridiculous, but cozy.
(Ridiculously cozy?) Find them at
Amazon
for $15.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
