Fall Trend: Buckles

One last fall trend, and it’s one you may have already noticed in some of my other recent posts: buckles! There are buckles on everything this fall—and I mean everything. In fact, there are multiple buckles on everything. Yay buckles! (Can you tell I totally dig this trend?) Bring on the buckles, baby!!!

  How interesting are these? Laces and buckles! The Anjel WP is suede, with a four-inch heel, one-inch platform, and a nice round toe. Available in taupe or black from Bakers for $109.

Two buckles? Not enough. How ‘bout three?

  These boots just scream fall, don’t they? Synthetic leather, three buckles, a smart heel and platform, fleece lining to keep your toesies warm... the Deppert is a keeper! Yours from Call it Spring for $70.

Hmmm, I’m thinking something more... femme fatale.

 
Oh yes, this is one sexy boot, ladies! The Chelsee has a 5.375-inch heel and a 1.375-inch hidden platform, a slightly pointed toe, rockin’ chain detail around the back, and two buckles—it’s like Mission: Impossible. Yours for $110 from Bakers.

How about something taller? The Izett is a pull-on boot with a four-inch heel and a quarter-inch platform, and buckley straps halfway up its 16-inch shaft. This is one sleek boot! Yours for $239 from Nine West.

Enough boots—time for a pump!
The Kristina by Christian Siriano is a faux suede round toe pump with a silver buckle over its four-inch heel—really a perfect way to do the buckle thing at work. Available in black or brown from Payless for $35.

And now for the grand finale: thirteen (count’em: thirteen!) buckles!

  Love these—lucky thirteen! The Asra by Dollhouse has a five-inch heel with a two-inch hidden platform—and the lining is leopard print! Available in this awesome brown-with-black combo or in all black from DSW for $50.

Buckle up for fall!

Blackout

Everyone survive the hurricane? Hooray! I was lacking power for a day and a half, but the darkness gave me the idea to spotlight (ha!) some shoes that have something in common with my apartment lately: they’re all black.

  The Acappella is a sweet little boot of black suede, with a three-inch heel and bow. So perfect for fall! Also available in tan suede or—get this—purple suede! LOVE! Find them at Aerosoles for $150.

  The Brodie by H by Halston had a suede and snake upper, a one-inch platform with metallic detailing, a 5.25-inch heel, and a peep toe. Also available in a nice burgundy/red; find them at Baker’s (now on sale!) for $60.

  The Laboheme flat is has a round toe with a really cool rhinestone/chain feature, rubber sole, and is made of black leather. Also available in dark brown pony and dark gray pony; yours for $79 from Nine West.

  How fierce are these?! The Harness Ankle Boot by Christian Siriano has a black (well, pewter) snakeskin leather upper, a squared-off toe, 4.5-inch heel, hidden platform, and awesomeness to spare. Pick up yours at Payless for $70. (Plus it’s BOGO time, so pick out something else nice while you’re there.)

  Oh, I am just a sucker for lace, and the Olive Bootie by Martinez Valero has it in spades! Not to mention the suede trim, lace-up back, three-quarter-inch platform and five inch heel—it’s so awesome, in fact, that DSW is down to 5.5, 7.5, and 8 only. Hurry in and get yours for $60!
