Go Phillies!

It’s BASEBALL SEASON, everyone!  Okay, so the Phils were sort of shellacked by the Red Sox yesterday, but today is a new day, right?  So cheer on the Phils from your top to your toe, in Phillies shoes, of course!

If your seats don’t involve a lot of stairs, pick up the Groupie II by Cuce.  These velvet wedges have round toes adorned with the Phillies P, and a four-inch wedge with the embroidered Phillies logo.  And look at the inside—leopard!  So fun.  Yours for $48 from Lady Fanatics.

Since this week will be warm, why not go for a flip flop?  And it’s a jelly flip flop too, for that vintage factor!  You’ll feel like you’re 10 years old again.  It says “Caught Looking” on the sole—and you can believe that people will be caught looking at your awesome shoes!  Find them at Sports Fanfare for $21.

Rhinestones!  The Junkie is a simple black ballet flat, adorned at the round toe with a Phillies “P” covered in rhinestones!  Hooray for sparkles.  The outside is flexible synthetic leather, and the inside is soft pink suede (and cushioned, too!).  Yours for $53 from MLB Shop.

This pair of canvas slip-on shoes is printed all-over with the Phillies logo… in GLITTER!  Because you definitely need some glitter.  Don’t tell me you don’t, because then I’ll call you a liar, is what I’ll call you.  A rubber grip bottom makes them safe even for rainy games.  Yours for $20 from Fans Edge.

GO PHILS!  Who cares if you’re the losingest team in sports history?  We love you!

Super Bowl

I am a huge fan of the Super Bowl—far huger than you might think given how little I watch football.  I love Big Events.  You already know my love of the Olympics—winter and summer.  There’s something so awesomely weird about stopping a sporting match in the middle to have an enormous concert.  And who doesn’t love nachos?  Come on, everyone loves nachos.  If you say you don’t, you’re lying.

Don’t lie to me.

So who will win?  The Patriots?

The High End Button Boot Slippers are so cozy for curling up on the couch, aren’t they?  Black knit on the outside, adorned with buttons and a Patriots logo on the side—but fold it down and it’s white sherling, and a second surprise Patriots logo!  Yours for $45 from Shop.com.

The Seahawks?

Look at these beautifully painted TOMS: that flawlessly painted logo on the right shoe, and the official jersey number of all the fans on the left shoe.  (Did you know that Seahawks fans are so loud, they can be registered on seismographs—the instruments that measure earthquakes?  Impressive.  Scary, but impressive.)  Yours from Etsy seller Smash Parties for $150/

The Patriots?

This pair of sneakers is really quite striking: the bright blue, the bold stripes, the sparkles (of course!), the Patriots logo charm on the laces.  Simple, practical, stylish—a winner!  Yours for $70 from the Bradford Exchange.

The Seahawks?

These beauties are the Crusader Bootie by Cuce.  The vamp is blue velvet, adorned with a Seahawks logo made entirely from crystals; the lining is cheetah (awesome!); the four-inch heel is skinny and silver.  Yours for $110 from the NFL Shop.

Personally, I say GO SEAHAWKS!  Why?  Since I grew up in New York, by law I have to hate the Patriots.  Plus the Seahawks aren’t dirty, dirty cheaters.  So GO SEAHAWKS, I SAY!

(Apologies to my beloved sister-in-law, who grew up outside of Boston.  I still love you.  But GO SEAHAWKS.)

Go Sixers!

Tomorrow at 7 PM is the 76ers opener!  So what if they lost six out of eight preseason games; it can only get better now!  Right?  Right?!

Well, even if it doesn’t, you can still look adorable in these while you support the home team!

These cozy cable knit boots are lined in fleece!  Fleece, I say!  I’m pretty sure I would never take them off.  But if that’s not enough, each boot is adorned with two wooden buttons and a tiny embroidered 76ers logo—quiet style.  Yours for $40 from Fan’s Edge.

Prefer a little sparkle?  Then the Junkie Shoes by Cuce are for you!  Faux leather round-toe flats are topped with an embroidered 76ers logo encrusted with rhinestones.  The textured rubber sole gives you some grip, so stand up and cheer all you like without worrying about slipping.  On sale for $40 (half off! yay!) at the Sixers Shop.

These heels are so fabulous, aren’t they?  Bright blue suede, with bold stripes of red and white going around the toe—and the 76ers logo, of course!  The heels are 4.5 inches, but the large platform will help with that.  Note: they run small, so order at least a half size up!  Find them at Herstar for $99.

These Rookie Wedge Boots from Cuce are so sleek, aren’t they?  Black faux suede, round toes, a scattering of light blue rhinestones on the four-inch wedge and one-inch platform.  And don’t forget the 76ers logo!  An embroidered logo adorns the outside of each boot, while a zipper on the inside lets you in.  Yours for $11 from the NBA Store.

Go Sixers!  Crush the Pacers!  We believe in you!

Go Flyers!

It’s hockey season!  The Flyers’ first game is tomorrow at night at 7:30 versus the Bruins, and then at home on Thursday at 7.  You ready?

Well, it is fall!  The Two Button Cable Knit Boots are so cozy-looking, aren’t they?  And they have matching fleece on the inside… I’m pretty sure I would never take these off.  But the details!  Don’t forget the details: two wooden buttons on each boot, and an embroidered Flyers logo.  Find them at Shop.NHL.com for $40.

Rrrow!  These Cheetah Strap Flip Flops are not any regular flip flops—they’re in a sassy cheetah and adorned with the Flyers logo!  Casual sexy.  Yours for $20 from Shop.NHL.com.

Casual sexy?  The Rookie 2 Sandals by Cuce are sexy sexy!  The black and white stripe straps, held together by warm brown faux leather… the 4.5-inch wedge both wrapped in braids and ornamented with the Flyers logo… sexy.  A zipper up the back lets you in, but just be careful if you’re walking down the stairs at the Wells Fargo Center.  Find them at Lady Fanatics for $80.

What?  What.  I will take up watching hockey so I can buy the Orange Champions Boots by Cuce.  Just LOOK at these!  Look at the way the orange fur puffs around!  Look at the white fur lining the inside.  I would live in these.  Oh, and I guess they have the Flyers logo on them in two places, or something.  Yours for $125 from Lady Fanatics.

Okay, everyone ready?

LET’S GO FLYERS, LET’S GO!

Go Eagles!

E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!!

This Sunday at 1:00 PM is the Eagles’ season opener against the Jaguars.  I hope you’re ready!  Break out all your midnight green, cook up those wings, and put on your Eagles-themed footwear of choice!

Wait, what’s that?  You don’t have any Eagles-themed footwear?  Well then, today is your lucky day!

If it’s fall, it’s time for suede—and the Spirited Wedge Pumps by Cuce are suede, all right!  The whole upper (as well as the platform and four-inch wedge) are covered in midnight green suede, and embellished at the round toe with an embroidered Eagles logo.  And can we take a second to appreciate the cut of the vamp around the foot, the curvy zig-zaggy shape?  Cool, right?  Yours for $90 from Fans Edge.

Prefer flats?

The Junkie by Cuce are a little better for navigating the stairs in Lincoln Financial Field—plus the faux leather upper is bejeweled with rhinestoned Eagles logos!  Yay rhinestones!  These will run you $60 from Fans Edge.

The Crystal Accent Cowboy Boots are boots all gussied up!  The leather upper is etched with Eagles’ logos (front, back, everywhere) and curlicues, and speckled with sparkling crystals!  Gorgeous.  The heels are two inches tall, the shaft is a foot high, and they’re available from Fans Edge for $300.

Staying in and watching from home?

Comfy AND glittery!  These slippers feature a big, sparkling silver glitter heart across the front, and are embroidered with the Eagles logo.  Plus they feature a rubber sole, so when you stand up to cheer you won’t slip and fall over!  Yours for $20 from Lady Fanatics.

Fly, Eagles fly, on the road to victory,
Fight, Eagles fight, score a touchdown one-two-three.
Hit 'em low,
Hit 'em high,
And watch our Eagles fly.
Fly, Eagles fly, on the road to victory!

Go Phillies!

So what if yesterday’s game was postponed?  That mean’s tonight’s Phillies game versus the Brewers is the home opener!  Are you ready for some baseball?  Be ready in shoes like these!

The Rookie by Cuce Shoes are awesomely sparkle-tastic, with their four-inch wedge and one-inch platform covered in red rhinestones.  The upper is faux suede with a round toe, adorned with the Phillies P on the outsides and helpful zippers on the insides.  Love!  Find them at Shop.MLB.com for $110.

More rhinestones!  The Junkie by Cuce Shoes are a little better for climbing the stairs up to the cheap seats in Citizens Bank Park than the wedges, but they share the same sense of style.  The upper is faux leather bound in elastic around the foot, and has rhinestone logos on the round toes.  They have a textured rubber sole, too, so you won’t slip if someone spills their drink.  Yours for $80 from Football Fanatics.

The Two Button Knit Boots by For Bare Feet are a good choice for games where it doesn’t quite feel like spring yet.  (Which, you know, could be ‘til June, what with this stupid weather.)  The knit uppers are finished with two wooden buttons and one tiny Phillies P, and they’re lined with fleece so they’re extra cozy!  Yay cozy!  These are also from Shop.MLB.com, and will run you $35.

Because GLITTER.  These monster peep-toes are completely covered in blue glitter, with “Phillies” up the side of one shoe and the Liberty Bell logo at the toe of the other.  This particular pair is a 7.5 and is ready to be bought, but Etsy seller Viabloomfield will make you a custom pair—or she will, once she gets back from vacation.  Because she’s away I can’t check the price on these, but send her a note and I’m sure she’ll let you know.

So take me out to the ballgame, but be sure I don’t leave the house without some awesome shoes on!

Go Flyers!

It’s hockey time!  The Flyers have their first game tomorrow night, so it’s time to break out the orange and black.  That means shoes too, of course!  Check out these shoes fit for the Broad Street Bullies themselves.

Well, maybe not actually for them.  Claude Giroux would look kind of silly in a pair of these:

The Groupie High Heel Wedges by Cuce are classic round-toe black velvet wedge, but decked out with Flyers logos!  There’s the P on the toe, and FLYERS on the four-inch wedge… but there’s a platform too, so don’t panic about the wedge height!  Yours for $95 from Shop.NHL.com.

While you’re there, check out these:

Gorgeous!  The Team Supporter Knee High Boots by Cuce are made of gray suede, trimmed in fluffy gray fur.  The logo is on the top of the front and on the back of the heel!  The wedge is 2.5 inches high, and the best part: they’re lined in Sherpa, so go sockless and dig your toesies into the soft goodness!  Yours for $135 from Shop.NFL.com.

Speaking of coziness…

The slippers look so soft… though they’re best for curling up and watching the game at home, and not going to the Wells Fargo Center!  And look, the logo on the front is completely done in sparkly, silvery rhinestones.  Perfect!  Find them at Fan Treasures for $20.

Don’t let the rain stop you this season with the Enthusiast II Rain Boots by Cuce.  The bottom is textured rubber, and the upper is neoprene (cool!) printed with the Flyers logo…over…and over… You get the most logos per dollar here, for sure!  Yours for $100 on Amazon.

And a pair of heels to finish off:

This is a custom piece by Etsy seller Made by Bunny.  Just send her a pair of shoes of your choosing (as long as they’re patent leather, or glitter already in one of your colors) and she’ll make them as Flyers-tastic as this pair here.  She charges $120 for her work.

So get your Flyers gear on and cheer them to a win tomorrow!  Go Flyers!
